Sally attended Bastyr University in Seattle Washington earning a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. Her training included three years of medical sciences, two years of clinical sciences and clinical rotations, extensive study of complementary therapies, Science and Clinical Board Exams, and over 100 hours of preceptorships with various medical professionals.
Though American, Sally relocated to Minehead, Somerset in southwestern England in 2004, where she currently runs and practices at Natural Root Wellness Clinic. In September, 2005, Sally had the vision of creating community spirit amongst practitioners and furthering public awareness of natural therapies. As a result, the West Somerset Complementary Health Alliance or WSCHA was born, its primary goal being to promote complementary medicine in West Somerset. She currently chairs this fast-growing, dynamic organization.
Sally enjoys hiking and running in the glorious setting of Exmoor National Park, having fun with her husband Matt, two sons Oliver, and Gregory, and dog Lhotse, and being thankful for an ever-growing spiritual life.

I am a practicing Naturopathic Doctor in West Somerset, actively working with clients with osteoarthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, obesity, digestive problems, depression, cancer (adjunctive care) and many other conditions. Each client is unique, and knowing this, I customize his/her treatment based on information gathered through a thorough medical intake form, extensive interview, lab work, and physical exam findings.
I find that a 1-1 1/2 hour first appointment is a nice amount of time to get a good idea of what is out of balance in the body and how we can work towards correcting those imbalances. This appointment can take place as a scheduled phone consultation (convenient for those living out of the area) or in the relaxed Natural Root Wellness Clinic.
In order to promote an optimal healing response in clients, I work with a variety of therapies. These include lifestyle and diet advice, herbal medicine, nutritional supplements, homeopathy, craniosacral therapy, and hydrotherapy.
